What a great National Convention that we had this year in Kansas City. We just got back from a very great week in the land of KC BBQ. We have another Auxiliary member from the Western Conference in the National Line as Guard. The members elected Kim Harney from the great state of Arizona for this position. I know that she will do a great job for the Auxiliary. Please make plans to come to one of the Training sessions in Creswell, Redmond, Oregon City or Pendleton this next month. There was a new by-law that passed at convention that I want you to have the complete rules so that you won’t get in trouble when you start to use the new system. Time is getting closer and closer to another year to be over, I can’t believe how quick this year has gone and here we are getting ready for another convention and a new President to step up to the plate. I can’t believe another year as Treasurer has come by and thank you all for being so supportive of me at this job. There is a lot to do but I really enjoy being the Department Treasurer. I know that I have mentioned this before but I am still getting people sending things to me that they don’t need to. Please, I don’t need the proof of eligibility for the new members. Sending me the DD-214’s is something that I don’t need. Wow, the months are rolling by, it’s almost May and convention will be here soon. Please get your delegate fees in before the end of the month. We have only got about 25 of the auxiliaries that have paid their delegate fees. All auxiliaries even though they aren’t going to convention need to pay their delegate fees. We use that money to pay for the expenses of the convention so we need all to pay their amount. Please send your list and your check to me and your list to Jan Halverson. If you have any applications for new members that you haven’t sent in, please get the information that you need for them and get them in to count in Valorie’s year, we are getting closer and closer to her goal.
